Primark / Penny's Haul

Primark / Penny’s Haul

I know I have been MIA (missing in action) but with exams and college finishing up i just haven't had much spare time! So i took a well deserved shopping break and headed to Primark.

No matter if you call it Primark or Penny’s we all love how cheap it is! This is a haul from the last time I called into Penny’s! I just can’t pass a bargain!

So its summer time! I should be out buying cute summer dresses and sandals but no I end up in the home ware section of penny’s.

Everyone knows I am obsessed with Yankee Candles but for 50cent I couldn’t resist these gorgeous little candles! Normally twice the price they are still a bargain! In total I bought 8. Yes you may think that’s too many but hey that’s only €4!

They have so many flavours, lime zest. A gorgeous fresh scented lime candle. Smells exactly like a freshly squeezed lime!

Lotus flower, a sweet scented candle. This one is my favourite smells just like a fresh flower and lights up any room!

Vanilla pod, typical vanilla scented candle! Not over powering and doesn’t smell like the typical vanilla candles that smell of cake batter. Not as sweet as other vanillas. But you get what you pay for!

Sweet poppy, this smells like what it says on the tin. Sweet poppies? If there is such a thing! This gorgeous scent would melt and sooth any stressed head. Lighting this sends an aroma around a room and smells just like the middle of a poppy field!

Cotton fresh, I am so happy I found this candle! It smells just like fresh laundry and cotton blankets by Yankee candle. The small of those usually sell for €6 - €8 but I grabbed this gorgeous dupe for 50 cent! Happy days!

I also got a more “pricey” candle at €3 for penny’s that’s expensive. But compared to normal candles that’s nothing! One of my favourite scents is Peach Mango Salsa by Yankee Candle and this Mango Pineapple candle by Primark is an exact copy! For a fraction of the price. And had a gorgeous flower effect this is perfect for me! I am in love!!

A cluttered room? YES L
Sadly I hate to admit it; we all have it but just won’t accept it. A cluttered room. With fleeces that are three sizes too big, tops that are probably too small. But I just can’t give them away L so my new solution? VACUM BAGS!

No no not the bags that go into a Hoover. But storage bags, these things are genius.
You simple pop your clothes into them. Seal it with the special clip. And then suck all the air out with the Hoover. Takes about 5 seconds and you can save up to 75% storage space. Now that’s handy.

I don’t know why? But I decided to pick this charm bracelet up for a friend of mine. It was a bargain and im like a magpie im addicted to anything shiny! I got a cheery, dog, teddy and ice cream charm. In total this cost €8 a price you can’t really complain about. In silver it pretty much goes with everything!

Dry shampoo, as much as we deny that we use it. It saves so much time and is a life saver when your stuck somewhere with no towels! Dry shampoo. I said id try this new dry shampoo from Shame 10 and its there dry mist shampoo. Simply spray into hair, massage in. Leave for 3 minutes and instant clean hair.  I wouldn’t advise using this as your daily shampoo, but as I have blonde hair its great to make it look brighter to cover your roots, or even use every second day in between washing! At €1.50 it smells clean, looks clean and is a bargain!

Now the next product people will either love or hate. When a friend suggested these extensions to me, I instantly said no!!! I taught they would be waxy, brassy and yellow. But I was so surprised when I saw them. They were €8 for four pieces of hair extensions. And the colour matched my hair perfectly. I have priced many hair extensions for my shade of hair and the cheapest are Hairspray hair extensions that are €35 but they only come with one hair piece. But the penny’s ones come with 4!!!

Sadly they are synthetic hair so I can only wear them straight. But if I wanted to curl them, I could simple wrap them around a pencil and clip with a bobby pin and over night they will form a loose curl. Or even wrap the hair around pencils and dip into hot water. This will leave a permanent curl in the hair, but this takes the shine off them, leaving them matte and shorter. Overall these look realistic and I really can’t complain about the piece. Just the sound of them would put you off.

A hair doughnut, no no you can’t eat this. But it does make your hair look fantastic. To the naked eye this may look like a large piece of mesh. But these little things have saved my life. Simply put hair up into a pony tail with a bobbin or hair elastic and then pop that pony tail through the hole, wrap hair over it and secure with a bobby pin or elastic, instant bun. Takes two seconds and lasts all day or night.

Sometimes I sweep my hair to the side and use these, looks glamorous and costs nothing. Compared to an expensive hair appointment. At €1.50 another bargain from penny’s!

I got these earings on a spur of the moment thing. Have still yet to wear them but i love the look of them. There cream large shell earings and they were €1.50. Im sure ill find a use just regret buying them a little. Each to their own!

And the last thing I got, I stumbled across in the home section. I’ve always been looking for an over the door holder for shoes but often find the material too cheap. I got one for myself, my mum and my twin. But I really didn’t expect them to be so cheap. They were on clearance for €1 usually there €4 I was gobsmacked. So glad I bought this product. It can hold 20 pairs of shoes and also comes with the clips to connect it to the door. This is perfect for shoes, jewellery or even little bits and bobs.

Overall, I find Primark/Penny’s additive but with a shop under €50 for so many products I can’t really complain :P
