DO NOT BUY THIS! GO BLONDER CONTROLLED LIGHTENING SPRAY

Recently I have been on a journey to get platinum blonde hair, and believe me its taken months!
I mind my hair like a baby and constantly invest in products I (hope) will make a difference.

After having a disaster when i tried to dye my own roots and had to pay a big chunk to fix it i invested in John Fredia's product,Sheer Blonde Go Blonder controlled lightening spray.

Never have i been so DISAPPOINTED in a product. It was €6.50 in Dunnes stores and i taught this was the answer to all my hair problems. The product claims to be "versatile patent-pending formula with citrus and chamomile works with styling heat to gradually lighten and brighten for a natural looking blonder blonde. Contains thermo-protect ant. Patent-pending technology combines fixative conditioning polymers that retain hydrogen peroxide, allowing for control of lightening. Visibly lightens in 3 to 5 uses".

Basically it is a hydrogen peroxide formula that works with the heat of your hair dryer and hair straighteners to give your blonde a brighter blonde.

So i sectioned my hair in the sections it said, 3cm each which i taught was very small. I then put the liquid on,spraying it only on the roots of my hair. I left it for a few minutes and then combed it through. Just before i was about to blow dry it. DISASTER!

My neck had huge red lumps on it. As i had used my normal John Fredia Go blonder shampoo and conditioner it had to have been the liquid which gave me this reaction. I then washed my neck and the red lumps did not go away. I took pictures below.

I was shocked because i have used bleach products before and have never had a problem. I continued to blow dry my hair.

I honestly feel that the product did make a difference to my roots, but i really don't think the reaction is worth it.

Three days later the lumps were reduced and i emailed john fredia customer support. They never replied to me by email but they did send me a package containing a medical document which i had to explain the whole incident on. They also included a "free post returns envelope".

This outraged me the most. I put the product inside and it was NOT "free post". It cost me €5 as i live in the republic of Ireland. Nearly as pricey as the product. They also said they would refund me the cost of the product.

This never happened. I was outraged. I have sent them several emails and messages about this. And i have had no reply. I know John Freida has some great products but the customer care has had such a bad reflection on them.

As much as i love my John Fredia go blonder shampoo and conditioner  and even the stay in conditioner which i love :(

I will not be repurchasing it as i have so angry with the absolute lack of customer service by their customer care. I advise you not to buy this product as the side effects for me were very unsightly. I guess always read references and blogs online before buying a hair product.

Happy Hair days (or not) :(

DIY Easy summer hair

This is possibly the easiest summer hair style that you will see! It takes about two minuetes!

All you need is, Some Bobby pins/Hair pins, Hairspray and a comb! Thats it!

This can be done on curly, wavy, straight or natural hair. I find curly the best for a big volume!

Firstly pull your hair to one side with a comb, Back comb top sections is fuller look is required. Smooth out with comb and hairspray for fly aways.

Perferably pull the hair to the side with you fringe for more fuller effect!

Then from the opposite to where you have pulled the hair too, begin to start braiding. Just do a simple 3 piece braid. Only adding hair to the top section of the three pieces. As you go along the plat/braid, keep adding hair only from the top section, this stops knots and tangles.

When you get to the opposite side secure with a hair pin. Make sure to pin under the remaining hair. Look in picture pins are hidden under the curls.

It sounds complicated. Is virtually effortless.

Hairspray and enjoy!

Happy Hair day!

The best mascara i have ever used!

Whats the best mascara i have ever used?

Essence I <3 (love) extreme mascara. This is no over statement. This stuff is AMAZING!
I came across it by accident when i sent my sister out to buy a cheap mascara for me. I had ran out and was too cheap to buy a new expensive one! From there it was faith!

I use this mascara every single day and i have never had so many compliments on my eye lashes!
Many girls taught i wore fake lashes, even my mom taught i got lash extensions!

This mascara cannot break any purse or budget as it is only €4! That's not going to harm anyone!
Often when you hear of cheap mascara, you probably think of running, dry, flaky, dirty looking panda eyed mascara! With this.. There is NO MORE RACCOON EYES!

I promise. This stuff is the holy grail of mascara! The mixture is the blackest of black and does not look a dark grey colour. The colour is JET BLACK!

This is not for people who want "natural eyelashes" As this is a very dramatic mascara!

You can get this mascara practically any where, nearly every chemist has an essence counter now! Even penny's and primark carry essence!

You have no excuse not to buy this :) The packaging is pink and black! What girl wouldn't like it?

The formula isn't too wet or too dry and even after a few weeks it doesn't dry out like most mascaras!

Its perfect!

Go on, Love it extreme!

Home Hair Dye.... For Men?

No matter if your 17 or 77 this blog post is helpful for any guy!

Recently i have become alot more familiar with hair dye... Yes for men!

Just for men, Is one of the most famous hair dye's for men.

This dye is special formulated that it only targets the grey hairs. So not obvious changes will be made to the hair using the right shade. It replaces the grey with subtle tones of your own hair colour!

It literally only takes 5 minutes. Something they can do in the shower?! God i wish they had this for girls!

They also have no ammonia so there is no strong smell, no damage and they are full of conditioner to protect the hair.

Many guys are to ashamed to admit they have grey hairs, but many of them get them as soon as they start puberty. For many males, they are ashamed of their grey hairs and think of them as a sign of old age. They are in fact a sign of being a male.

Male hair is very different to female hair, as they often do not use heat on it, therefore being more strong and "virgin" hair. Meaning it has no die in it or is often styled by drying on its own. They generally have no split ends and their damage is nothing compared to us girls.

I think no longer should males be embarrassed dying their hair. But try something that works!

And worst comes to worst they can shave it off and have it back in no time!

Happy Dying guys!
